Forbidden Pilgrimage: Rajgir and Sujata: Rajgir has several sites related to Buddha: the hill where Buddha gave the second teaching, the cave where monks first wrote down Buddha’s teachings. It also has the ancient ruins of King Bimbisara, who served and sponsored Buddha and his followers.
Sujata site is on the Neranjna river. On this riverside Buddha meditated for years before he became enlightened. Also, Sujata is known as the place where a Brahmin girl offered a bowl of milk to recover the weakened and skinny body of Buddha.
